Rosemary Ix Morgan wrote her first poem when she was nine and has been writing ever since, although the poems in this book were written from the late '60's through 1997. They start in New Jersey during a difficult time, continue through a move to Montana in 1971, where the proverbial fresh start didn't pan out and where her 17 year marriage ended. In 1975 Rosemary and her three children moved to Amherst, MA where she earned an M.Ed in counseling and became a licensed social worker, progressing from working in a nursing home to hospital oncology and ending with seven years as a hospice social worker before retiring at the end of 1996. Rosemary remarried in 1979 and currently has three grown children and two granddaughters. She continues to live in Amherst with her husband, Earl.
