This section of trail has just been recently blazed by the Trail adopter and is in good shape. At 0.6 mi. you will find the blazing on rocks where the trail comes into the open at the start of the Quarry operation and up to the Pioneer Valley Sportsman's club. At (4.5 mi aprox.) there is a small relocation just before the Mass. Turnpike that takes you to the left away from the rocky section along the Turnpike fence it previously followed. (4.9 mi.) You can use the RR underpass or the quarry access road to get to the next section. Use caution if using the RR under pass. This is a Pioneer Valley RR right of way and it is used daily.
