This sickle bar cutter was patented in 1898 by Rowley K. Ortt. It was available in sizes from 12" to 24". In 1904 the company was moved from Norristown NJ to Dixon IL. A reel lawn mower called the "Dixon" was introduced about 1914. Clipper Lawn Mower Company closed in the mid 1940's.
