    Notes:  On 7 Apr. 1736 at the Reformed Dutch Church in Germantown Anna
	    Bomper mar. as her second husband Johann Matthias Ernst.

	    Jacob Scherp, his wife, and 2 children, were on Capt. Bouwel's ship
	    to Holland in 1709.  Jacob Scherf of Scherz, aged 25, his wife, a
	    son aged 5, and a daughter aged 2, Ref., husbandmand and vinedresser,
	    were in the 2nd arrivals in England later that year.  Jacob Scherb
	    made his initial appearance on the Hunter Lists 4 Aug. 1710 as 2
	    pers. over 10 yrs. of age and 1 pers. under 10.  The household
	    showed 2 over 10 and 2 under 10 on 25 Mar. 1712.  A letter in French
	    from Cast dated 6 Apr. 1711 mentions Jacob Scherb.  Jacob Sharpe of
	    Kinsdbury in Dutchess Co., yoeman, was naturalized at New York City
	    4 Oct. 1715.  Jacob Scherb and Anna maria with 2 children were at
	    Quunberg ca. 1716/17.  He was a Palatine Debtor in 1718.  Cap. Jacob
	    Sharp was an officer in the Albany Co. Militia of ye Palatine
	    Villages in ye Mannor of Livingston in 1733.  Zenger's N.Y. Weekly
	    Journal dated 18 May 1734 noted:

		 "We hear from Livingston's Mannor that one Mr. Jacob Scherp,
		 a noted Trader and Farmer there, on the 16th of Feb. last,
		 had the Misfortune to be drowned in Livingston's Creek, by
		 stumbling from his horse.  His Body was found some days after
		 by his own Son on a small Shoal in the Mouth of the Creek."

	    Letters of Adminsistration in the estate of Jacob Sharpe of Albany
	    were granted to his two eldest sons, George and Peter Sharpe 12 Oct.
	    1734.

 Children:  1.  GEORG EMMERICH SCHERP, was bap. 10. Oct. 1703 at Laubenheim,
		Germany.  Wit.:  Georg Emmerich Bender, single, son of Joh.
		Bender.  On 28 Dec. 1724 at the Reformed Dutch Church of
		Kingston he mar. ANNA BARBARA SCHMIDT, who was bap. 27 Aug. 1702
		at Lachen-Speyerdorf, Germany (wit.:  Anna Barbara, daughter of
		Johannes Graf), a dau. of Ulrich Schmidt and Anna Barbara Koch.
		He was naturalized 17 Jan. 1715/16 according to Alabny
		Naturalization records.  He moved from Livingston Manor to
		Schaghticoke, NY, about 1736.

	    2.  MAGDLAENA SCHERP, was bap. 6. Sept. 1705 at Laubenheim, Germany.
		Wit.:  Hans Philipp Scherpp and Magdalena, daughter of Stephan
		Bräder, both single.  She died 8 May 1707 in Laubenheim.

	    3.  MARIA MAGDALENA SCHERP, was bap. 4 Mar. 1708 at Laubenheim,
		Germany.  Wit.:  Michael Stoppelbein and his wife Maria
		Magdalena.

	    4.  JOHANN PETER SCHERP, had no birth or baptismal record.  On 13
		May 1735 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Catskill he mar. EVA
		SCHNEIDER.  Peter Sharp was a freeholder at East Camp in 1763.
		His will was dated 13 Dec. 1780 and probated 20 Feb. 1782.

	    5.  SAPINA SCHERP, was bap. 7 July 1729 at the Reformed Church of
		Germantown.  Wit.:  Johan Jacob Poember and Saprina Poember.  On
		19 Aug. 1751, she joined the Lutheran Church of New York City.

	    6.  LUDWIG SCHERP, was bap. 3 Apr. 1731 at the Reformed Church of
		Germantown.  Wit.:  Lovewyck Scherp and Maria C. Poember.  He
		may poss. be the Lodewyck Scharp who joined the Lutheran Church
		of New York City 20 May 1751.

	    7.  JACOB HENRICH SCHERP, was bap. 30 Sept. 1733 at the Reformed
		Church of Germantown.  Wit.:  Henricus Wilh. Will, Johan Jacob
		Sambor, and Catheirna Kiplarin.  On 14 Feb. 1760 at the Lutheran
		Church of New York City he mar. FRANCINA SKAATS (or SKATES).
		This family became prominent in New York City.
