    Notes:  On 28 August 1689 Barent, who was suspected of being involved with
	    some recent "distrbance," posted a £50 security "to answer when
	    he shall be called to be examined about yt Bussinesse."  It is unknown
	    what became of that incident.

	    All children were baptised at the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany.

		Gerrtisz, and carried by Caatje Sandersz.  He died young.

	    2.  GERRIT VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 18 Oct. 1691.  Wit.:  Cornelis
		Gerritsz and Ariaantje Gerritsz.  Prior to 1725 he mar. ENGELTIE
		(__).

	    3.  MARIETJE VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 21 Jan. 1694.  Wit.:  Cornelis
		Claas and Geertje Gerritsz.  On 14 July 1719 at the Reformed
		Dutch Church of Albany she mar. as his second wife MARTEN
		MARTENSE VAN BUREN, the widower of Judikje Barentse Meindersen,
		who had no birth or baptismal record and was prob. b. abt. 1678,
		a son of Marten Cornelise Van Buren and Maritje Quackenbosh.
		Marten was a Freeholder in 1720 at Rensselaerwyck.  He and his
		wife were members of the Reformed Dutch Church at Albany.
		Marten died 21 Oct. and was bur. 23 Oct. 1740.

            4.  TEUNTJE VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 26 May 1695.  Wit.:  Wouter P.
		Quackelbosch and Marritje Gerritsz.  Her mother's name was
		recorded as Geertruy Lansing.  On 28 Mar. 1729 at the Reformed
		Dutch Church of Albany she mar. as his first wife MARTEN
		CORNELIS VAN BUREN, Jr., who was bap. 15 July 1705 at the
		Reformed Dutch Church of Albany (wit.:  Pieter and Magdalena Van
		Buren), a son of Marten Martense Van Buren and Judikje Barentse.
		Teuntje died prior to 1745, in which year Marten mar. as his
		second wife Lena Hoes.

	    5.  GEERTRUY VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 27 Dec. 1696.  Wit.:  Cornelis
		Van Esch and Geertruy Jansz.  There is no further record of her.

	    6.  ARIAANTJE VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 26 Mar. 1699.  Wit.:  Johannes
		Geertisz and Neeltje Gerritsz.  On 29 Oct. 1726 at the Reformed
		Dutch Church of Albany she mar. LAURENS VAN DER POEL, who was b.
		21 Jan. 1701 and bap. 26 Jan. 1701 at the Reformed Dutch Church
		of Albany (wit.:  Willem and Marrytje Van Alen), a son of
		Melgert Van der Poel, Jr. and Catharine Van Alen.  Laurens died
		21 Feb. 1768.

	    7.  ANDRIES VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 1 Jan. 1701.  Wit.:  Goossen Van
		Schayk and Katharina Staats.  On 26 Jan. 1732 at the Reformed
		Dutch Church of Albany he mar. MARITIE VINHAGEN, who was bap. 15
		Aug. 1708 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany (wit.:
		Johannes Vinhagen, Sr. and Lysbeth Van Trigt), a dau. of
		Johannes Vinhagen and Marie Van Tricht.

            8.  JANNETJE VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 25 Dec. 1702.  Wit.:  Johannes
		Claasse and Gerritje Quakkenbosh.  On 30 Oct. 1726 at the
		Reformed Dutch Church of Albany she mar. JOHANNES GOEWAY, who
		was bap. 22 Feb. 1699 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany
		(wit: Kiliaan Van Renselaar and Catrina Van Renselaar), a son of
		Jan Salomose Goeway and Caatje Loockermans.

	    9.  CATHARINA VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 17 Mar. 1706.  Wit.:  Willen
		Gysbertse Van den Berg and Antje Van den Berg.  There is no
		further record of her.

	   10.  NEELTJE VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 28 Jan. 1708.  Wit.:  Wynand and
		Gerritje Van den Berg.  On 16 Nov. 1738 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of Albany she mar. JOHANNES VINHAGEN, Jr., who was bap.
		27 Oct. 1710 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany (wit.:
		Johannes Teller and Alida Vinhage), a son of Johannes Vinhagen
		and Maria Van Tricht.  Johannes was bur. 22 Oct. 1750.

	   11.  BENJAMIN VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 13 Nov. 1709.  Wit.:  Tames
		Williams and Anna De Warm.  On 20 Nov. 1741 at the Reformed
		Dutch Church of Albany he mar. ANNATJE (JOHANNA) VINHAGEN, who
		was bap. 2 Mar. 1718 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany

		of the family having inherited a fortune from his father and a
		small farm from his grandfather Marten Van Buren.  He was a

		Nov. 1760.

	    2.  JACOBUS ELMENDORF, was bap. 3 June 1694 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of Kingston.  Wit.:  Evert Wynkoop and Grietje Aartsen.
		On 1 Dec. 1722 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston he prob.
		mar. ARIAANTJEN NIEUWKERK "upon presentation of a license, both
		parties born and resided under the jurisdiction of the County of
		Ulster."   Ariaantjen was bap. 19 Nov. 1699 at the Reformed
		Dutch Church of Kingston (wit.:  Jacob du Boys and Marritje
		Egberts), a dau. of Ariaan Gerritsen and Lysbeth Lammertje.

	    3.  GERRIT ELMENDORF, was bap. 26 Jan. 1696 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of Kingston.  Wit.:  Gysbert Gerritse and Cornelia ten
		Broeck.  On 15 Jan. 1730 (with banns published there 21 Dec.

		Kingston (wit.:  Gerrit Aartse and Jacomyntje Elten), a son of
		Aart Gerrits Van Wagenen and Aaltje Elting.  Gerrit was a
		schoolmaster and surveyor in Ulster County until 1733, then was
		a choister and parochial schoolmaster in the Middle Dutch
		Church.  His son Huybert took his place upon his death in 1743.

	    3.  GEERTJE VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 13 June 1697.  Wit.:  Jacob
		Lansing and Lysbeth Casper Lansing, widow of Hendrick Lansing.

		Aug. 1705 at the Reformed Dutch of New York (wit.:  Abraham Kip,
		Albany, Abraham Kip van Niewjork, Geesje Kip en Catlyntje Kip),
		a son of Isaac Kip and Sara De Mill.  Abraham was a cooper, and
		lived in New York City.  He died 24 Feb. 1757.  Marytje's will
		was written 19 July 1775 and probabted 5 Jan. 1785.

	    was taken prisoner by the French in October 1709.  Col. Johannes

		Joachim died 4 Mar. 1804 and Elizabeth died 5 Dec. 1795.

	    8.  TEUNTJE STAATS, was bap. 20 Mar. 1720.  Wit.:  Isack Staats and
		Margarita Schuyler.

	    9.  GERRIT STAATS, was bap. 3 June 1722.  Wit.:  Ritsert and Anna
		Staats.  He mar. DEBORA BEEKMAN  who was bap. 8 Oct. 1726 at the
		Reformed Dutch Church of Albany (wit.:  Tobias Rykman and Sara
		Hansen), a dau. of Jacob Beeckman and Debora Hansen.  During the
		Revolutionary War Gerrit served as Lieutenant in the 3rd New
		York Regiment.  He was commisioned on 23 Nov. 1776 and resigned
		this commission on 1 Mar. 1780.  Later he was a merchant in
		Albany.

		she mar. PETER M. VAN BUREN, who was bap. 21 Nov. 1725 at the
		Reformed Dutch Church of Albany (wit.:  Jacob Lansing and
		Teuntje Van den Berg), a son of Marten Van Buren and Maria Van
		den Bergh.  He was an early member of the Reformed Dutch Church
		of Kinderhook.

	    7.  ARIAANTJE VAN DER POEL, had no birth or baptismal record.  She
		mar. BARENT VAN BUREN, who was bap. 14 Mar. 1731 at the Reformed
		Dutch Church of Albany (wit.:  Gerrit V.D. Bergh and Maria V.D.
		Bergh), a son of Marten Van Buren and Teuntje Van Den Bergh.  He
		was a second lieutenant in the 4th Regiment in the Militia of
		Albany County, commanded by Colonel Killian Van Rensselaer's
		Regiment during the Revolutionary War.

		Aaltje Van Esch), a son of Cornelis Hendrickse Van Buren and
		Hendrickje Van Ness.  Willem was bur. 17 Aug. 1752.

            2.  MARIA VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 1 Jan. 1715.  Wit.:  Cornelis van
		den Bergh and Eckbertie Bratt.  On 28 Jan. 1731 at the Reformed
		Dutch Church of Albany she mar. PIETER VAN DEN BERGH, who was
		bap. 25 Apr. 1703 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany (wit.:
		Wit.:  Wouter Quakkenbosch and Neeltje Van den Berg), a son of
		Cornelis Claase Van den Bergh and Susanna Ouderkerk.   Pieter's
		will was dated 14 Aug. 1794 in Albany and he died 25 June 1795.

	    3.  GERARDUS VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 4 Sept. 1717.  Wit.:  Barent
		Staats and Anneken Van der Poel.

	    4.  RACHEL VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 26 Feb. 1721.  Wit.:  Jacob and
		Susanna Vissen.

	    5.  GERRIT VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 26 Sept. 1725.  Wit.:  Daniel and
		Gerritie Fort.  At the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany he mar.
		AGNIETJE LIEVENSEN, who was bap. 13 May 1722 at the Reformed
		Dutch Church of Albany (wit.:  Gerrit V.D. Bergh and Math.
		Williams), a dau. of Teunis Harmense Lievense and Rachel
		Gansevoort.  Gerrit's will was dated 11 May 1809 in Niskayuna,
		New York.

	    6.  CORNELIS VAN DEN BERGH, was bap. 4 Feb. 1730.  Wit.:  C. Van den
		Bergh and Lydia Van Veghten.
