[Me]

Greetings weary netizen!

Relax and enjoy my hospitality while visiting this humble abode.

[Countdown to
   Supreme Court]

A 1990 graduate of Case Western Reserve University, I'm currently working as a software engineer (slave) for SofTechnics, a developer of integrated system solutions. (I started my career with a three year stint at Chi Corp./Computer Logics, but left when the company was bought by DCA and closed soon after. I then spent the next four years at Telxon Corporation, but chose to stay in Ohio when they packed up and moved to the fine city of Houston, Texas. If this trend continues I should expect to be safe for at least the next five years...) After having lived on Cleveland's East side in Cleveland Hts, Ohio for ten years my future wife and I bought a wonderful brick Georgian home in Rocky River on the West side. I still miss Coventry, Arabica, the Cedar Lee and the Centrum, but Rocky River has a lot to offer too. Here is another photo of me from a trip to Kelly's Island, and I also finally have some pictures on-line of my wife, Kim.

Are you B? If the words The Great Forgetting, Totalitarian Agriculture, Leavers and Takers don't mean anything to you then you need to read The Story of B by Daniel Quinn. You can also read some essays that I have written - Hope for the Future, Shadows of our Past and The Inverse of Law. They are not copyrighted and can be freely distributed. For even more information and original writing take a look at Cat's Place or The Gaia Foundation. Remember, the world won't be saved by new programs, it will be saved by people with changed minds and no programs.

I grew up in Columbus, and spent many hours as a student volunteer at COSI - The Center of Science and Industry. I have many fond memories of the Planetarium, Coal Mine, Van DeGraff Generators, The High-Tech Showcase and all the other volunteers and staff.

[Visitor Center] Are there any other runners or bikers out there? Other people are doing it too, so here is a list of my recent races and times. My favorite location for biking is the tow-path trail along the old Erie canal in the CVNRA - the Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area. If you have the time, why not take my CyberTours of the CVRNA and the Rocky River metropark?

Here are some 32-bit freeware utilities I've written for Windows 95 & NT. Please send me a brief note if you download and find these utilities useful - the feedback I get will determine whether or not I continue to enhance and make programs like these available!

[Dilbert] Be sure to keep up with the latest exploits of Dilbert, the patron saint of engineers and computer programmers. (Are you a member of Dogbert's New Ruling Class?)

[Opera!] Try Opera, the reasonable alternative to Netscape and Internet Explorer. If you're also fed up with bloated browsers that spew their dll's all over your system and cause you pain just watching them load then Opera may be just what you've been waiting for.

[Prio] If you're one of the unlucky sufferers of headaches or severe eye strain from working with your computer all day (or playing Quake ;-)) then you might want to check out www.prio.com. Their site is a little hysterical, but I've been wearing their glasses for over a year and the results have been nothing short of miraculous. This comes highly recommended!

See what my high school Greek professor has been up to lately. And if you are planning a trip overseas or are interested in a package tour you might benefit from his travel company, Globe Tours.

In April 1997 a friend and I took a short vacation in Arizona. We flew into Phoenix and spent the night, then drove up to the Grand Canyon with a short side-trip to Sedona. The whole state has a rugged beauty all to its own, but by the end of the trip I was starved for the green country-side of Ohio! I've scanned in a few of the pictures from my trip, but note that you'll need a frames-capable browser to view them. Vist the Grand Canyon National Park homepage for a complete tour - I highly recommend it! After returning from that trip I decided that one hike in the Grand Canyon wasn't enough, so in May 1998 Kim and I took advantage of Southwest Airline's $99 promotional fares to Phoenix and spent a long weekend in Arizona. I really enjoyed the small commuter flight we took up to Flagstaff since we had great views of Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon, the San Fransisco Moutains and I could really see how the plateaus rising to the North affect the state's environment and landscape. As before, I've scanned in some more of the pictures from my trip for your viewing pleasure.

I'm famous! The Sun Newspaper's Cleveland Cybertown Reviews visited my site and printed some of their comments and critiques. They're right that some of my photos aren't that sharp, but all I have to work with is a 35mm camara and a hand-scanner!

Finally, my vital statistics.
