Good-byes and Introductions

Dear Colleagues, Students and Friends,
We have recently decided that after nearly 20 years, Paul is ready to retire from teaching tracking in order to devote more time to our stock photography business. (Some of you may not be aware that throughout these years, we have been running two businesses pretty much full-time.) For the last few years, we've contemplated what life might be like if we focused on just one business instead of both.
We know that many people will be disappointed and maybe a little saddened with the closing of our nature school. We have spent many years deeply committed to helping people connect with nature and themselves, and the decision to follow our passions in a different direction was not taken lightly.
We are happy and fortunate that two of Paul's former apprentices, Nick Wisniewski and Valerie Major, have decided to pursue their dream of operating a nature school by purchasing our business. Both have studied with Paul for several years and completed three years of the apprenticeship program with him. (see their introductions on page 6). We will be helping them through a brief transitional period and hope that you will lend your support to their new venture. You'll recognize some of the course offerings as being similar to those offered by Paul Rezendes Photography and Nature Programs, and programs will be offerred with many of our former staff instructors, like John McCarter and Bob Leverett. As it should, things will change and evolve as Nick and Valerie shape their nature school according to their vision and talents. They are hard-working and dedicated, and have considerable skills, passion, energy, and determination to pursue their dream of connecting people with nature.
We wish them the greatest of success, and we encourage you to support their work as you have so generously and enthusiastically supported ours through the years.
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!
Paul Rezendes and Paulette M. Roy
